The Meaningful Rubric System is a student centered strategy that allows the students to clearly understand their teacher's expectations. The skills are broken down and the students master only a few specific skills before progressing on to the next set of skills. Each skill is assigned a value. By assigning a value to each skill the students understand the importance of the skill. As a result, all students become better writers by using this innovative system.
